[CHRISTMAS SHOPPING]
Eventually this WILL happen. Unless the world decides to end in 2012 of course.

I have this weird policy of "if everyone doesn't get presents, no one gets presents!" and, this year I didn't do nearly enough commissions so I'm pretty much broke. Yay lack of money! I explained this last journal entry right? Well since I have no patience and it's sad to wait until Christmas to get your presents for your self, so I went ahead and treated my self to BOOKS. I WAS considering the clothing but I can TOTALLY live without them. Now, useless knowledge to satisfy my ever hungry mind, I want.
I didn't buy everything from the last post's list, but I did invest in a booklet with the constitution, declaration of independence and other United State's important documents. Then the mental floss world history book which pin points amusing facts from history, the How-To book I introduced, the dirty german book, the animator's survival guide so I can perfect my poses, then a Canadian history book. I live right beside that country and I don't know ANYTHING about them. All I know is that they're next to the U.S., maple, Niagara fall, maple, good bus system, lots of asian population, cold, took part in WWI, and french/english bilingual country. I'm hoping that I can respect my neighbors more after reading it. But nowI think about it, I should've bought the Prussian history book too... I was looking up the German history and now I'm so confused how the world has become this way involving the Germans.
[RANT: THE IRONY THAT MAKES SENSE]
Most people should know that I'm a huge sci-fi, futuristic story fan. Almost all of my stories takes place in the near to far future. So why study history?
Because obviously history repeats it self constantly, and, I want to incorporate what history did in my stories as well. Like social commentary in a grander scale. Or pointing out the mistakes we've made before and maybe I can make a futuristic story that people actually LEARNED from their mistakes. Highly unlikely, but it'll be amusing.
Besides more knowledge, better the story. Even when the stories has nothing to do with the knowledge you have. Kinda like how Leonardo Da Vinci dissected a horse to know the functions and structures of them before drawing them. Gawd I look up to him!
[ITALIAN PENNSYLVANIA SOUVENIRS]
My biological mother figure has arrived back in town. I told her to get me some items I couldn't get while I was there, and I'm enjoying them as I'm typing this. I got 5 cases of Pizzelle Italian cookies, and I've been dying to get the flavored gourmet syrups. I wanted raspberry and lemon but they were all out of raspberry... oh well now I know the company's site address so it shouldn't be too hard to get my hands on them, I hope. I tried a sample while I was still in PA, and I've had good syrup before, this was absolute brain droolingly good. Also they come in this glass bottle that has a REALLY GOOD GRIP TO KNOCK PEOPLE'S HEADS W ITH. God damn I love Italian people so much!!
